2018-12-26 If you're happy with the KA mill and the flour it produces performs well in your bread recipes I see no reason to change. I used the Hobart era KitchenAid grain mill for years (on my Hobart K5SS stand mixer) to mill flour mostly for bread. (I was using a mix of commercial white bread flour and home milled whole grain flour in most of my breads.
This grain mill is my favorite attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. I'm able to make my own rye flour (difficult to find in the last couple years), rice flours, coarse ground rice for farina, spelt, oats, etc. I make wild sourdough breads, cakes, muffins, and other treats. Being able to mill the grains myself is a big plus.
